Just one year after the Tribune changed hands it's filing for bankruptcy.
Why?
Competition from those pesky online sources of advertising and citizen journalism is a great place to start.
With more people relying on the Internet for their daily news, it is predictable that Tribune is only among the first of many dominoes to fall in the coming years or even months.
Personally, I rely heavily on Google alerts for my news. Whenever something is critical personally or professionally, I always make sure I have alerts set up for them to keep me up to date with what is happening.
Are your PR people using the web to track your business' reputation 2.0?
Are you using it for yourself or for those things that matter to you?
Are you still relying on the daily newspaper to update you on what is happening?
If you are, you too may be courting bankruptcy.
